Will you be dressed properly for my event?
Yes. We will hopefully by phone or in person find out all the information about the type of event you are having and dress for the occasion. As for weddings we will be dressed in a tux or fomal suit unless you specify something else.

Will you have the type of music I want for my event?
Absolutely. One thing that gets confusing is when you hear some DJs boast about having Ten Thousand, Twenty Thousand, or in some cases thousands more songs to your availability. Thats all great but most clients dont want to hear all the songs that didnt become hits for most groups. Most dont care if you have Ten different versions of Get Down Tonight. You can only play about Sixty songs in roughly four hours and you want to make sure your DJ has the songs you want for your party. We cover all genres of music and for the record we have about Seventy Thousand songs to choose from, but all that can get confusing when you are at a party trying to make a request. We provide a catalog at the party for you to look through at your leisure to find what you want.

Will you make announcements at my Wedding?
Yes. I do know of some DJs that just want to sit there and play music all night and get there money and move on. The biggest part of your Wedding Day is that feeling of being introduced as Husband and Wife and introducing your Wedding Party. We will be honored to handle that for you.

Do you provide lighting with your services?
Yes. This is an option and there is a small fee for this. Lighting takes longer to set up than the audio, and requires more cables, etc. Lighting can add another dimension to your event that can be something very simple like Par Can lighting with a Mirror Ball all the way to setting up a club type lighting rig. We can discuss all the different choices you have. Just give us a call.

What type of equipment will you be bringing to my event?
We take pride in the equipment that we carry with us. You want be embarassed by someone bringing in scratched up worn out equipment that looks like it has seen its better day. All of our equipment is new and we are constantly updating. We offer names like JBL Speakers, Rane and Denon Mixers and CD players. Sennheiser and Shure Mics. American DJ lighting and Trusses. We also have all this in professional cases and set up behind a banquet table with a Black cover to make it look nice. Also one other thing. We wont take away from your event with any type of tacky banners or slogans about our DJ Business hung up anywhere. You dont want to see that and I wouldn.t either.

Do you play request?
Yes. Thats one of the best feelings, when someone ask for a song they heard on the radio or even a song they have not heard in a long time and you are able to play that for them. We gladly will play your request.

Do you charge for set up time or travel time?
If the location is within fifty miles, no. With the high cost of fuel there would be a mileage charge for distances more than fifty miles. As for setup time there is no charge for that, although we do require an hour before and an hour after to set up and breakdown.

What are the advantages of a DJ verses a live band?
Like you I love music of all types, and nothing beats a good live band. The problem is finding a good live band. Most good live bands will cost you up to five times what a good DJ will cost you. Cost is not the only factor. Live bands will require several breaks during your event. DJs will in most cases play nonstop. The other problem is most bands want to play only what they are good at playing. Your selections are very limited. In most cases with Weddings in particular, you will have to find someone to take over the duties of making the announcements, etc. A DJ has the ability to cover all the music genres from Country,Hip Hop, Alternative, Rock, R&B, and everything in between.

What assurance do I have that you will be at my event?
We deal with contracts only. We will send you out a contract requiring a 20% deposit to hold your date. That is for your protection and mine also. I have never had to postpone an event yet and the only thing I can imagine that would cause me to have to cancel would be an immediate death in the family. In that case you would still be taken care of. I would hire a reputable DJ and if the cost were more, I would pay the difference.
